MUNCHKIN MIRACLE 360 

This cup will get you many, many years of use. It can be used from the time your child is ready to take their first big kid sip through the toddler years and beyond. It has the benefits of a sippy cup without the typically sippy spout. This makes it look and feel more like a big kid cup without having to worry about kids spilling drinks all over the place. There are no straws which is a perk since they can be hard to clean. All the pieces are easy to clean and are dishwasher safe. It comes in multiple colors, sizes and with or without handles. Choose between traditional, insulated, infuser or even a stainless steel version that can be personalized with your child’s name! Bonus- the tops are interchangeable with the different size cups! The only downside is that if it’s dropped from up high, it does splash out a little. 

YETI RAMBLER JUNIOR 

We love our Yeti Rambler Jr for our daughter. It keeps her drinks cold for hours so we never have to worry about her milk getting warm or going sour on a long car ride. It has a flip up straw spout and is leakproof when closed. It’s made from stainless steel so it doesn’t hold on to smells and is easy to clean. As with all Yeti products, the Yeti Rambler Jr can be customized with your child’s name, a graphic or a custom design. The downside is it’s pretty heavy so it’s better suited for older toddlers and kids rather than those who are just learning to use a cup. Also, it may not fit in some car seat cup holders. 

CONTIGO AUTO SPOUT TUMBLER 

This cup looks like a regular cup and straw. However, its leak and spill resistant thanks to a silicone gasket around the straw hole and a special valve inside the straw itself. It fits in most car seat cup holders and is a good size for little hands. Because of the straw and it’s internal mechanism, it isn’t as easy to clean as some of the other options out there. The cup and lid are both dishwasher safe. The straw is hand wash only but can be unscrewed to make it easier to clean. They also make a water bottle version with the same auto spout technology and an AutoSeal version.

BOON SNUG SPOUT SIPPY LIDS 

Though not technically a cup itself, a boon snug spout sippy lid can turn just about any cup into the perfect spill proof kids cup. Compatible with the Boon products but also other brands or even regular cups. Just stretch the boon sippy lid over your kids drink or cup and voila! Because they are made of high grade silicone, they won’t retain stains or smells and can be easily sterilized. They also make a lid with straw version.

GREEN SPROUTS SPROUT WARE STRAW BOTTLE

Though the cups on this list are BPA free, if you’re looking for something new and innovative, try the green sprouts sprout ware straw bottle. It uses a natural plant based “plastic” made from sugar cane. Your baby’s drink and mouth will only contact stainless steel, silicone and plant material. It’s spill proof and comes in a variety of colors.  They also make a glass version where the inner container is made of glass but is surrounded by an outer plastic layer which helps prevent it from breaking if dropped. It comes with both a sippy top and a straw so you can choose what’s best for your baby. The only downside to the glass version is that it only holds a small amount of liquid, whereas the sprout ware bottle holds much more.
